Tip 1
Travel light! When traveling abroad, often you will be on planes, trains automobiles, taxi, tic tic, etc…so traveling light is key. I recommend that you make a list of clothing you plan on taking and cut it in half. While the normal limit is 50lbs on most carriers, you will be lifting, dragging and carrying this luggage yourself. To save your back, and avoid frustration, make sure you can control your luggage and not have your luggage control you! It is important to note, that there is a cost for overage, so pack light to travel smart.
Tip 2…
Travel with your insurance card. Most international countries have universal health care, meaning they will always take care of you if an accident occurs if you DO NOT have insurance. If you do, they will wait until they have your card to help you. Be proactive, bring your insurance card. While every traveler hopes this never happens, in the case it does, protect yourself.
Tip 3….
TSA and Global travel are lifesavers, it can be purchased early and once approved, it speeds up your time when changing flights internationally as well as returning home. The fee is $100.00 for five years of coverage, click here for more information.

Did you know you could shop tax free, visiting certain European countries, allows you to get your taxes back when making purchases totaling over $200.00, you simply fill out the Global Blue form at any international airport or get the card.
